The Bible says that Jesus was tempted in ALL points as we are. So that means not only was he tempted in the ways mentioned in the 4 gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John of the New Testament, he was also tempted to fight, curse, take revenge against his enemies, and every thing else as we are tempted, YET WITHOUT giving in to even one of them.
WHY???
Picture this: A great being who can sit on an oversized throne and use the earth as his footstool, never knew any sin because he was the one who decided what is right and what is wrong. Because he decided these things, he could easily avoid doing what he thought was wrong. He created man and placed him upon the earth with rules and regulations man could not keep. He chose one nation as his child and gave them the rules and regulations they could not keep. So he decided it was time for him to go through the same things that man had to do. So he created the body of Jesus and entered it to dwell from conception to 33 years of age. In this way he learned, by what he experienced, to have more compassion and empathy for the human he had created.
As children and servants of the Most High God, we learn empathy by what we suffer. As a result of this we can offer assistance or encouragement to others who are going through similar trials. We can FEEL for others; understand what they are going through, and avoid judging them harshly. We can understand when one who is troubled screams, lashes out at a family member or friend, and overlook these actions to offer support and forgiveness to help them get back on track.
This is so important to building good relationships.
